I was tired and hungry and ran into this café on my way to see the Kotoku-in. The staff was lovely and very kind and helped us with the menu in English. From the beginning it was clear that it was cash-only. We ordered the ham and cheese sandwich and expected something rather simple, but were surprised by how good the bread, the lettuce and overall sandwich was! The cold green tea was delicious and the chocolate cake even better! We left with a full water bottle with ice, a lovely little origami, a 'muchas gracias', and a full heart <3

stopped by this cafe while walking between sasuke inari shrine and kotoku-in for a quick snack! the hot cocoa was absolutely delicious - exactly what i needed after walking all morning. it wasn’t too sweet, and the marshmallows really added a nice touch. the french toast was delicious as well - again, not too sweet, and the soft and chewy bread melts in your mouth. i highly recommend this cafe if you’re walking the daibutsu hiking trail and want to take a slight detour, or if you’re leaving sasuke inari shrine!

This is a lovely quaint little cafe slightly off a main street. The menu is limited but the food is good and the ambiance inside provides a relaxing throwback of an earlier era. The hand brewed coffee is excellent and pairs perfectly with dessert.

We visited after walking to the nearby shrine. The owner gave us fans and water immediately to cool down. She was very kind and attentive. The coffee and carrot cake were delicious 10/10
